Estate Services
TIMING: With the expert assistance of my crew, I can accomplish your household liquidation in one long weekend. If your household is packed, we may run your sale over a two weekend period. Most liquidators will not invest this many hours in a sale. I try my best to get your optimum result by giving your merchandise its best chance to sell. There is usually at least a week of prep before a sale begins (sometimes more.) It is important to give us adequate time to organize, set-up, stage and advertise your sale, so call far enough ahead to give us time to prepare your sale adequately!
SET UP, STAGING: We take great pride in presenting your family treasures at their best. Not only do we clean your merchandise, but we’ll set up your dining table with Grandma’s china to show it off! Furnishings may be moved to show to their best advantage. Locking cases and/or curio cases may be utilized to keep small valuables and fine jewelry safeguarded. When we open your family’s home, it will look attractive, organized and inviting.
RESEARCH & PRICING: I work hard to make sure your items are priced appropriately. I research comparable values. Having 25 years of experience, I have a good knowledge of what items go for in our region. If I find items that are in a world unto their own, I call in specialist appraisers at no cost to you. If items might bring more in the auction world, I can help broker your items to larger platforms to realize better selling prices.
ADVERTISING: Advertising is extremely important to the success of your estate sale; therefore I go the extra mile in this regard. Not only does your sale get regional advertising, there are times when I can select other specific areas depending on what kind of merchandise you have for sale. I also have a personal email list of thousands of customers who want to attend your sale! I still include an ad in the local newspaper as well as post signage to get in the local traffic.
MARKETING YOUR HOME: An estate sale is the LARGEST “open house” you’ll ever have! I am happy to work in conjunction with your realtor during the estate sale to help market your home. Many times, the new buyer walks in to see the estate merchandise and ends up making an offer on the house!
AFTER THE SALE: What happens after the sale? I take my cue from you. If the family would like to deal with the leftovers, I’m happy to accommodate; however, more often than not, my clients need help! I can assist in the clearing out of the house if the desired end result is an empty house.
MY OBJECTIVE: My objective is to be a full-service liquidator. I realize that most estate sales are precipitated by some sort of transition in life. I do my best to take the emotional and physical load off of my client. Once you sign up with Capital Estate Liquidation, your job is finished! We do the rest.
